About me

Laura Salazar is a graphic designer & illustrator based in San Salvador, El Salvador.
She has lived in many different places during these first 25 years of life, including San Salvador, Managua, Tegucigalpa, Savannah, and Los Angeles, where she obtained her BFA (Honors) in Graphic Design, and minors in Advertising Design and Book Arts from Otis College of Art and Design. While studying in LA, she had the opportunity of working at Design Lab, a design studio operated within the Communications and Marketing department of her school. While working at Design Lab, she was able to work on projects encompassing but not limited to branding, illustration, copywriting, retail, UX/UI, web design, motion design, product design, and surface design.

Since then, she has learned about marketing through a brief role as a Digital Content Producer at a local marketing agency, managing the social media accounts of various American clients ranging from restaurants, professionals, and more. Last year, she decided to give freelancing a shot and has been doing that ever since! She's currently pursuing a Certificate in Packaging Development and Production from Fundación Gutenberg, a design institution in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

She is passionate about designing things that matter, and making sure that everything she creates has a story to tell. She particularly enjoys projects  related to typography, illustration, and publications. In her free time, she enjoys playing videogames, creating silly little characters, and cooking for the people she loves.
